Without going back to my childhood which no doubt holds the seeds of everything I do, let me start with
Joanne Griffin, John Phillips, and Anne Basting: my doctoral committee at NYU who encouraged me to “stage” my research subjects. Joanne gave me some of her last years and I’m sorry she never got to see that the PhD was worth the time.
NYC Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, in particular, Jed Levine and Paulette Michaud who gave me the first opportunity in 2006 to create To Whom I May Concern for the Early Stage Forum. They continue to support me and for this I am most grateful.
Susan Goldfein who chaired the Early Stage Forum in 2006 and with whom I first facilitated an Early Stage Support Group in the late 90’s. You are a valued colleague.
Lauren Volkmer, John Zeisel, and Sean Caulfield from Artists for Alzheimer’s who collaborated with me in the NYC and Queens, NY performances.
Ketki Pandit for her film contributions.
Ronald Glassman and Cat Cutillo for photography.
Samuel Field Y (Karen Schwab, Alissa Pizzutiello, and Nancy Graham) for participating in the 2007 performance.
The Society for Arts in Healthcare who supported the 2007 performance with a grant from Johnson and Johnson.
Hudson Valley/Rockland/Westchester, NY Chapter of Alzheimer’s Association for participating in 2008 (Ellen Imbiano and Camille Sharp).
Lydia Panaro for insisting that we take the show on the road which stretched the 2008 performance into 2010 and we are already booked for 2011!
Care Partners who provide support from the wings with pride and love.
Thank you to all.
