Our Side of the Fence
In this To Whom I May Concern® video of the scripted reading of Our Side of the Fence, you are invited to join a group of people diagnosed with dementia on their side of the “fence” — the fence that divides them from the rest of society because of their diagnosis. While there, you will learn what it is like to live with the symptoms of dementia, and what the view of the world is like from “our side of the fence.”
The play was created by Maureen Matthews, director of To Whom I May Concern®, in partnership with a wonderful, smart, and opinionated group of people living with the diagnosis of dementia: Jan Pitts (Oklahoma), Joe Potocny (California), John Sandblom (Iowa), and Sue Stephen (Victoria, BC). The play was produced with Laura Bowley of Mindset Centre for Living with Dementia.
